Faith to overcome short-term disappointments
Disappoint – Webster – “to fail to meet the expectation or hope of”
We have always called them short-term disappointments, because Yahweh has always been more than we can ask or think in the long run.
We don’t think that there is a believer out there that hasn’t dealt with this issue. In fact, we have seen so many posts on social media pertaining to this – we felt compelled to share our revelation on this matter.
While we can tell you that in our 32 year Kingdom journey there have been many opportunities to harbor disappointment, Holy Spirit seemed to rise within and let us know – if we just held on and kept talking of the faithfulness of Yahweh – eventually we would “hold in our hand what we held in our heart” (Apostle F. Nolan Ball paraphrase). Some believers abandon their post during the struggle from ‘what is not’ to ‘what should be’. In our experience, the times where it even seems to be going the opposite direction of our expectation, with faith and resolve that Yahweh is The Almighty, things eventually turned around and accelerated to become more than we could ask or think. There have been many a time all we could say was “Yahweh You know” and continue to stand. Being tenacious and steadfast requires persistence and a close walk with our Heavenly Father. Surely we know the scripture that He is working all things for our good Romans 8:28 and that His plans for us include a future and a hope Jeremiah 29:11.
While there are existing situations in our walk where understanding has not yet come, Yahweh, by far, has exceeded our expectations and we could not be more grateful. He is not partial – Romans 2:11 & Acts 10:34. Hear and speak – continue to speak – continue to speak – resolving that – even if you do not see it in your lifetime – it will be said of you – you believed Yahweh!
